What is something you would like the blog readers to know about you that they wouldn’t know by just looking at you?

I would like for them to know that I have lived abroad during my primary school days.

What is one thing that you are most anticipating about your study abroad experience?

One thing that I am anticipating the most about my study abroad experience is engaging with the Indigenous people of New Zealand and getting to learn about a new culture.

Why did you decide to study abroad? or What inspired you to study abroad?

I am an International Studies and I want to learn about different cultures all over the world to study how I can advocate for human rights on a global scale. I have always been a world traveller and that’s what has inspired me to study abroad. My mom always taught me to see the world.

My study abroad experience in Thailand; playing with the elephants.

What is something you would like the blog readers to know about you that they wouldn’t know by just looking at you?

I would like them to know that I have a passion for living life to the fullest while pushing myself and those around me to be better. What gets me excited each morning is knowing the potential that every day has to offer. I love to travel, explore the outdoors, watch sports, and compose/edit digital media.

What is one thing that you are most anticipating about your study abroad experience?

I am most anticipating exploring the Southern Alps while in New Zealand. Whether that be skiing, hiking, etc. . .

Why did you decide to study abroad? or What inspired you to study abroad?

I decided to Study Abroad for several reasons. I have always had a love for travel and learning about different aspects of cultures around the world. Immersing yourself in new cultures while studying abroad is much different than just a 1-2 week visit, and this is something I find to be very exciting.

I was inspired to study abroad by learning/hearing the many stories and reflections that prior students have given to me. I rarely have heard that studying abroad has yielded a negative experience. Most students I have heard from have had their perspective on the world change, whether it be introspectively, or just the way that they navigate their everyday lives, and this was not something that I could pass up.
