Preparing for London

Alas, time for me to go abroad. English/UK schools start very late in September, and so, finally, it my time to start the journey I always wanted to do. Many other schools started in mid August, which means I’ve had to sit back and live vicariously through my friends, social media posts, and face-times. While it was a long wait, and I was anxious to start this new journey, I’m ecstatic to be in England, and to start this new chapter of my life and studying.

I’ve been looking forward to studying abroad ever since middle-school when I first figured out that was an option. I dreamed of going to England, and studying in a country that values education and studios work as well living in a city with hundreds of years of history. I truly can’t believe I now live in this wonderful city, and this is my new life for now.

While waiting for classes to start, I’ve been exploring my new city and experiencing everything there is to offer! Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and of course the London eye was first on my list. While I’ve been to London before, its been amazing to experience it all again. I wholeheartedly say, that every time you visit a city, it’ll be something new, regardless of how many times you’ve been there before. So, my advice, is to explore your city or wherever you may go. Find new coffee shops, and bookstores. Maybe a new site to see or new museums, or anything you might find interesting. I’ve explored the main ‘tourist’ spots, and now I’m ready to spread my wings and explore more in depth. I wish to find a favorite coffee shop, where I might go to study, or work on homework, as well as, finding new activities to do solo and with friends.

I feel as though its been a while since I arrived in London, even though its only been a week, and I haven’t even started classes! It’s exciting to think that i now live in London! I now live in a city Ive always dreamed about, and wanted to study in, and now its surreal to finally have this opportunity to make my dreams come true.
