What is something you would like the blog readers to know about you that they wouldn’t know by just looking at you?

One of my passions is learning about primal living patterns and the challenges humanity faced before the Industrialization and Enlightenment period. Through these interests, I’ve learned how to bow drill, live outside for a protracted period of time with natural resources, whittle, and other useful skills!

What is one thing that you are most anticipating about your study abroad experience?

Throughout life, I’ve been fortunate to travel globally and live fully immersed for a period of time in different parts of the world. I like to think I have a big appreciation for different cultures and the lessons we can all learn from the beauty in our habitualness. I’d like to share these observations and bring about discussions concerning globalization, politics, and the global economy.

Why did you decide to study abroad? or What inspired you to study abroad?

As these challenges will not always be easy to face, they are what continue to push me in the direction of openness, adaptability, and kindness of spirit. The incomparable lessons I have learned from living in a new place with a distinct culture and (if you’re lucky) a different language, cannot be overlooked. They have guided and stuck with me, lending sound advice and reminders when most needed. I’ve found the most influential experiences arrive in the wake of immense uncomfortable moments so the choice of country to one so different from my own was a no-brainer!

The landscape I chose to submit was a mesmerizing pattern left in the sand by the waves in Mexico!
