Hey DU Study Abroad Blog,

This week, we received an introduction to Thailand and specifically Chiang Mai’s history. We started learning how to speak Thai and we were lectured about Thai culture. We went on multiple field studies to learn about the history and culture of the city we were to live in for the next three months and a half. This included visiting temples, markets, museums, ancient kingdoms, and common leisure spots to learn about concepts like religion, food, music, customs, attire, and even immigrant populations.
