Friendly Neighborhood English Spiderman!

Hello friends!

Everyday when traveling to campus, I see a group of people practicing Parkour near a local truck ramp. For those that don’t know, Parkour is the sport of freestyle running. Basically, you have athletic people making a playground of normally dangerous urban environments.  🙂  I had to get it on film!

UK education is different… less class time… fewer assessments… focus on independent work… TONS of reading. This is going to take some time to get use to.

Thanks for tuning in!

Running Into Emma Watson!

Hello friends!

I have now officially been enrolled as a student of the UK. Crazy and surreal!

Orientation week was quite different from ones in the United States. Instead of required events with a “student leader” or group, schools in the UK just give you suggestive events to attend. Some of these included a welcome fair and meetings with tutors (professors).

I’m learning to get around… while getting lost in the process! It is all in good fun though. You meet some exciting people and see some incredible places. OR, you think you meet some incredible people… 🙂

Until next time,

JZ

Welcome to London!

Hello everyone!

Thank you for tuning in to my first blog. As you just saw or will see, I have finally arrived in London, England to kick-off my study abroad adventure!

As of right now, I am suffering from jet lag really bad. Woke-up at 4pm this afternoon and missed out on two meals. Two whole meals… not a happy camper right now. Somehow, I must arrive on campus (King’s College) at 9am tomorrow. Note to future students: arrive a couple of days early because jet lag will be an issue!

I hope everyone enjoys this introductory video. Please leave comments, ideas, questions, ideas for the future!

Until next week,

JZ
